TALLADEGA, AL - Ageless veteran NASCAR racer Morgan Shepherd was inducted into the Texaco Talledega Walk of Fame on October 31 in front of hundreds of fans in Talladega, Alabama.
The walk, a park honoring fallen NASCAR star Davey Allison, and featuring many current driving stars and racing heros of the past, is located in downtown Talladega, just minutes from the famed 2.66-mile superspeedway.
Shepherd said he owes his induction to his fans.
"I was very honored that the fans felt strongly enough about me and my race career to give me this honor," Shepherd said. Shepherd was the only active driver inducted during the 2009 ceremony.
