NASHVILLE, TN - Morgan Shepherd will be just one of several NASCAR drivers and county music stars who will participate in the annual Sprint Sound and Speed event in Music City USA, the team announced January 6.
Shepherd will take part in the event's 9:30 p.m. concert on Friday evening and will participate in an autograph session on Saturday. His visit to Nashville will conclude with the Grove Gala on Saturday evening.
The fan event kicks off on Friday with a concert by Montgomery Gentry featuring Rodney Atkins and special guest Julianne Hough at Nashville's Sommet Center.
On Saturday, the event moves to Nashville's Municipal Auditorium for the Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust Fan Festival, a unique, interactive event that brings together top-name country music artists and racing celebrities for a full day of autographs, Q&A and storytelling sessions, and sponsor and show car displays. Proceeds from the event benefit the Victory Junction Camp and the Country Music Hall of FameŽ and Museum.
Participating celebrities musicans Josh Turner, Jason Michael Carroll, Richie McDonald, members of Diamond Rio, and Rick Huckaby.
NASCAR drivers slated to appear include Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kyle Petty, Michael Waltrip, Ray Evernham, Reed Sorensen, David Stremme, Wayne Taylor, Max Angelelli, Brian Frisselle and Shepherd.
Concert tickets, available through TicketMaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or the Sprint Sound & Speed Presented by SunTrust Web site (www.soundandspeed.org), are $35 (Level 1), $25 (Level 2) and $17.50 (Level 3). Festival tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Combination tickets, good for the concert and the fan festival, are priced at $50 (Concert Level 1), $40 (Level 2) and $35 (Level 3).
